In Germany, it is common to serve a Berliner Weisse ‘mit Sirup’ or with syrup. Raspberry is a popular and traditional choice. With this special release, we look to recreate that experience for you. We’ve taken our sour German-style wheat ale and fermented it with raspberry puree for a refreshing twist on this unique ale. Crafted in small quantities to be savored for any occasion. We hope you enjoy this unique beer.


“On July 27, 2013 we tapped a cask of our summer seasonal Berliner Weisse aged on blueberries at the brewers festival. Word traveled quickly around the fest about how great the blueberry cask conditioned Berliner Weisse had turned out. Soon the tent was filled with happy fest goers holding glasses of our beer!

New Belgium Brewing


While sipping mimosas on a Sunday afternoon, our Wood Cellar Blender, Lauren Limbach, was gifted a new large oak barrel that she aptly named Dominga—a play on the Spanish word for Sunday. The first beer she created from that barrel was a mimosa-inspired golden sour called “Dominga: Goddess of Brunch.” Sour fans absolutely loved it and we decided it deserved a spot in our year-round line-up.
